I think our prep is probably best used as a model for lay debate. We were never crazy flow, although we prepped with some people that were.
This was my first year doing debate (I unsuccessfully tried MUN freshman year). This year was almost entirely lay, local tournaments. We did bid at Laird, though!

This was my first year of actual NatCir debate! We went to like ten different tournaments, and we championed a couple. Highlights include bidding at Laird, winning ETHS, and winning NCFLs. Honestly, going 4-3 at the STOC was a pretty big highlight too.
